An annual summer event, the set-net fishing competition was held at Souja River. It was a sunny Sunday, perfect for set-net fishing. At nine o’clock in the morning, school children gathered with their own scoop nets. The Morimatsu employees, after setting the gill net from the bridge, joined the parents who were ready to cheer their children. With the starting signal of “Bang!” children entered into the river in order of school grades and started catching fishes. Sousha River suddenly became a place of amusement bustling with cheering voices of children and parents.
